“Maybe you who condemn me are in greater fear than I who am condemned.”
― Giordano Bruno
Joseph Campbell created a reality where heroes can be everyone all at once. The hero's journey is something that every living, breathing, being on this planet is entitled to. It's the knowledge that we all have a greater purpose, and that purpose is something achievable. Of course there are obstacles everyone must face, but that's not the point; The point are the things we achieve by overcoming these obstacles and the things we learn from it.
You don't need to be a powerful wizard, a superhuman, or even a dystopian warrior to find your great purpose; you only need to channel that same strive and determination of our favorite on-screen heroes. All of the movies and stories we consume have one thing in common: The great expedition. Every person's "awakening" is different, and comes when the time is right, or even when it's wrong. The person needs only accept the challenging path ahead. Lets talk about it...

We begin with our hero receiving a message or a quest. Could be a new career, or an idea, or even a text message. Now comes the deciding factor...will our hero respond? Or will they ignore? (most likely, the hero accepts the quest because otherwise their life goes nowhere, and they never learn any lessons) anyways.....Our hero goes through many conflicts, many relationships, and learns many lessons; but the reward makes it all worth it.
If you haven't caught on yet, YOU are the hero in your story. YOU need to wake up and choose the path that leads you to victory; even if that path seems impossible. Heroes don't become heroes by watching their lives go by. Their power comes from taking charge and fighting for their future. Nothing is set in stone. Everyone has power... What will you do with it?
